Prayer Requests.

Would you all please keep a couple families in your prayers this week?  Yesterday we went and spent time with Arun’s family at his viewing.  We met them in the hospital as they let us come watch them do a trach change on Arun.  Unfortunately Christmas eve he went to be with Jesus.

Upon arriving home from the viewing we received word from our friend John Gile that Brenda, his co-worker and avid blog reader, had died christmas day unexpectedly.

Tonight another friend of ours called to let me know that his cousin had died unexpectedly as well.

I certainly can’t begin to explain these things.  All I know once again is that God is a God of love and that He loves us beyond measure.  I know He is weaping with these families during these difficult times.  I also know He is there for those who seek Him.  Our prayer is that these families will run to Him and allow Him to work in their lives as only He can.

Please keep these families in your prayers during this difficult time.

OK I know this is unusual to have such a serious blog along with what follows.  However I decided to include this video to remind us all that our loved ones are true blessings, and it is so important that we never take our time with them for granted.  It’s short but has been bringing a smile to our faces for the last couple of days. We hope you enjoy it.

  1. I am so glad you ended this sad blog with the cute video of Greyson. I would have cried all day. God blessed Brenda with the blog and Greyson and isn’t it true we never know one day to the next who will be here. I am so glad she got to come to Greysons’ dedication. God brings people into our lives and He says sometime we are entertaining angels and don’t even know it.

We will pray for all these families and I had a good friend from work that her mother passed away on Christmas day. It seems alot of people are taken home around Christmas, I don’t know why but it does. We certainly have to put our trust and lives into God’s hands.

    Love you

  2. What a tough time for so many of your friends. Ron and I are reading a book, The Shack and it is a story about just what you wrote in your blog. It shares how God is right there with us, hurting just as we are and loving us! Hum…what a connection between what you were writing last night and what we are/were reading. Please let them know we will be praying for them all, as well as you three!
On a lighter note-we loved the video! Your little boy has the sweetest voice! Thanks for sharing!

  3. We are sorry to read about the loss of your friends. We are praying for the families affected by it. And we are praying for you guys too. We love you and are thankful for the reminder to cherish each day we have together. We look forward to the New Year in which we trust there will be more grace than grief, more hope than loss and more joy than pain. I think 2009 is going to be an awesome year for Greyson and his parents!!

  4. I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom Brenda she was an avid Greyson blogger, she was amazed by him and shared his web site with alot of people! She wanted so bad to be around Greyson but she was afraid to get him sick and she didn’t want that! I believe God brings people together for a reason and the reason were here with Greyson, Bob and Stacy is because of God and I am thankful to have gotten the awesome gift of being at Greysons dedication with my mom! Thank you again for acknowledging my mom on Greysons blog! Hugggs

  5. I am agreement that we meet and things happen that bring us closer or together with people. We touch people lives without even knowing.

My prayers are with the families that have lost a love one this Christmas. They have hard times ahead but just keep your eyes on Jesus. And then spring will come. You always remember the ones that have gone but then you can smile to the memories.

Greyson has touched so many lives we will never know how many. Greyson is a gift from God and I thank the lord for him and his parents everyday.

I love you guys. I loved the video. That didn’t brighten me up. Children bring life to us all.

    Your in my prayers.

    Love

    Great Aunt Nana
