Thanks easter bunny, bawk bawk bawk.

I think Greyson must have got up to celebrate sunrise for easter, and consequentially tired himself out because he slept all day today.  He did wake up a little for Stacy and Jaemi to look at his little lamb (thanks Ashlie!).  Greyson also got a visit from the Easter bunny who left him a cool pail that says “chick magnet” on the side, a duck stuffed animal, and a blanket.  Not too bad!

While he slept all day Greyson continues to do well.  His blood gas numbers continue to be good and he is back down on his oxygen requirements to where he was before surgery, so that is good.  He is now back to full feeds and seems to be doing well with that (getting fed now through his new g-tube verses the old method of down the nose, through the stomach, and into the jejunum (intestines)).  While he stirred just enough to look at me when I came in tonight, he went right back to sleep and doesn’t seem to want to wake up for anything.  Guess we’ll have to wait till tomorrow for playtime.  By the way, have a I mentioned that as soon as he gets his first trach change (probably wednesday) we can pick him up again?  Boy are we looking forward to that!

Happy Easter everyone, we hope that you are all able to know and experience God’s amazing love for you.

  1. I hope all 3 of you had a blessed Easter. Im glad my buddy loves his lamb! I will be in thursday as usual for a visit. Take care and keep Greyson’s arm wrestling arm in shape. Im expecting him to blow me out of the water next time!

  2. He probably couldn’t sleep before because he was probably waiting for food. Now that his tummy is full, he can really sleep which will just make him get better faster. This Easter was wonderful, with Greyson doing better and for me to spend the day with all his cousins, I couldn’t have asked for more.
What a wonderful Lord we have.

  3. Great pictures of Greyson over the past two days, and great to hear that his gases are doing well and he is being fed “real food” again. Yes, let’s hear it for the fast track! Go, Greyson, go!! Hugs, Alta

  4. We are glad to hear that Greyson got an Easter basket! The kids were worried with him being in the hospital. We can’t wait to see pics of you holding him again! Great work Greyson!
