Tonight I let Greyson play with a marvelous new toy (otherwise known as an empty decorative tin can). I also put on this hat that Stacy and Michelle got for me from Lowe’s (they were having a grand opening of a new store so they got the hat, a screwdriver, small keychain flashlight……..whatever). Anyway Greyson was having a great time banging on it and pushing it out in front of him. It was fun to watch. The boys worked on this while the girls (Michelle and Stacy) put the ornaments and lights on the tree.
We are gearing up for Christmas and it is fun to be setting up decorations and making plans for our family. Aside from last year, we have never been here on Christmas day. Even last year we simply woke up and rushed down to Tacoma where we spent the day so we really weren’t here and didn’t decorate or anything. So this will be Greyson, and our, first Christmas!
So I wasn’t able to post last night because I was doing some other things for our church website (we are redesigning it) and I kind of messed something up so I was unable to access the church website, the blog, basically anything from a certain server. That’s geek speak for I did a bad thing and couldn’t get to the blog to make the post. Anyway yesterday was another signifcant anniversary (at least to me). One year ago last night Greyson came off the ventilator for the first time.
Tin cans….empty boxes…..tape…etc….etc. I remember all of the kids playing and having just a great time with stuff that really wasn’t a toy but they loved it anyhow. It is just super fantastic to see Greyson playing and getting so ready for Christmas. You guys are going to have SOOOOOO MUCH FUN this year. All of our Christmas is still all over the living room not quite finished but we will get it. The tree is up and lights are on but don’t have all of the ornaments on it yet. So if yours is all up and everything put away you win!!!!

Oh Greyson, what a wonderful letter to Santa and your pictures are not only cute but just a joy to see. We so enjoy watching you grow and I can’t believe you’re ready for your own computer. I just got my “very own” first one.
We have put your pumpkin pictures up on our frig and KJ’s Great Grandma “Granny” had hers up on the TV with other family pictures when we visited her during Thanksgiving. She said she couldn’t think of a better reason to be thankful this year than your continued health and growth.
I think you have been a very good boy this year and I think you will probably get some very special presents. Remember that if you get your Wii that you will have to share with your Dad.

How fun as always to hear all the good things and see you and Greyson playing. What a wonderful Christmas this is going to be. I told you that Greyson will like a box all wrapped with nothing in it almost as much as one with something in it. Today is a big day for your grandma as I quit my job today to retire beginning Jan 1st. This is a big step for me but I think God is really leading me in this direction.
Only 8 more days and I will be there to play with you.
