Hey guys, check out my room!

april-30-012.jpg

I really like it here, although I am still settling in.  In this picture I am laying on something called a “changing table”.  I’m not sure what that means but usually I get poked in the neck while I’m here.  My parents tell me it’s trach care and I have to have it, I try to be good and not squirm too much when they are doing it, but sometimes it hurts a little when my skin gets pinched!  I like to take naps in the afternoon so that I am well rested for night time, then I want to play when my mom and dad try to put me to bed.  I stay in my room at night, and some days, but usually go out to the front living room for the daytime.  That is where I can rest in my pack-in-play, look out the window, swing in my swing, play on the floor, or cuddle on my boppy or in someones lap (which is way better than my boppy!).  I really like people and love it when I get to interact with them.  Mom and dad tell me I should stay inside most of the time until it gets warmer and the bad bugs go away.  Since I had a couple of them in the hospital I think they are probably right!

I really like all the messages everyone has sent me while I was in the hospital and since I’ve been home.  I think they are neat.  I like all the prayers too.  Mom and dad pray with me every night.  I’m not really sure why they close their eyes and stuff, personally I just look at Jesus and talk to him that way.   Well I just finished getting food so I need to have that tube thing put back in my stomach so I can get rid of the gas.  If I don’t I get really fussy because my tummy starts to hurt.  After that I think I will go to sleep.  Night everyone, I love you!  Greyson

  1. You have a really cool room Greyson and I know there is alot of fun stuff in there. I can’t believe you have been home over a week now and settled in quite nicely I would say. I can’t wait to come play with you, it won’t be too long now. God has certainly blessed you, so keep saying your prayers every night and thanking Him. He loves you very much and so does all your family. We sure thank God for you and for getting you better so you could go home.

Have a wonderful night and sweet dreams.

  2. Wow Greyson! You are very articulate…Kinda like your dad. But then again that is no supprise. You recieved good genes from your parents. I can’t wait to come and visit you on Sunday. You better be awake for at least a little of the time :). Sleep well little one.

  3. Oh Greyson! Thanks for telling us how you are doing! Your room looks great and I bet you are so glad to be home where you have your mom and dad all to yourself. We will keep praying for you and always will. We love you so much and can’t wait for all the bad bugs to go away so we can come and visit and hold you a little too! Will that be okay? We will bring lots of books and songs that your dad can’t seem to remember. Take care and know that we think of you always!

  5. Hi to you, you sweet Greyson, this is from your other Grandma. I am so glad that you give us updates from time to time, also. I know how cool your room is! I was there when your mom and dad were putting it together for you. I will have to come and visit real soon. Would this weekend work for you? I will have to ask your mom and dad. If not now then real soon. You have so much to show us. We just love you so much and can hardly wait to play with you. Hugs from Gram

  6. Dear Greyson,

I am so glad your Mom and Dad helped you write to all of us. I really like your room and the boppy is neat looking, too. I don’t think they had them when I was little, but they sure look comfortable.

Grandma said you had to wait in the hospital until God knew you were ready to send home, so I’m really glad you’re home. I pray every night, too. I talk to God, just like I’m talking to you and I thank him for my blessings and I always ask him to keep you well.

I wanted to wish you a Happy May Day. That’s when you send Spring wishes to friends and family. I got to pick some flowers for my Mama and Grandma. When you get older, your Dad will help you do that for your Mama and Grandmas.

I wish for you to be happy and healthy and I love you and I will try to send your piggy bank soon. I think it will look very nice in your room.

Well little one, looks like you’re settling in just fine. Our love to you and Mom and Dad too.

    Be well and rest well.

    Goodnight,

    Judy

  7. I love you too li’l man.
You are pretty high tech. Maybe someday you’ll be inventing your own computers to help other kids. Who knows, eh? Anyhow, it’s still kinda cold to go outside, so you aren’t missing much, seriously.

  8. Greyson-

I am a little late in responding to you because your Uncle Derek was hogging the computer. It was so great to see your room and be able to have a note from you. You look very comfortable and Im sure it is great to be home with Mom and Dad huh? The “bad” bugs should be going away soon so listen to your mom and dad and don’t try to “go out” very often. You wont want to make a trip back to the hospital again right? Oh yea and Greyson look out the window I bet your mom has some pretty flowers to look at…they really arent fun to touch but they are just to look at. Kind of like your mobile. I can not wait to get to come and visit you! We love you so very much and pray everyday for you too. As you get older you will have to remember to pray for your Mom and Dad too as they sometimes need a little help also. 🙂

WE LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH

Aunt Tam, Uncle Derek and Teila nd Aly
