5 months, let’s celebrate.

Five months ago tonight Greyson came into the world.  It hasn’t been the easiest time, but he has been a real trooper each and every day.  There have been so many days where we never thought we would ever get to this point, so today we celebrate all that God has done in and for Greyson.  While we didn’t get him anything to celebrate (after all if you do to much he’ll start expecting gifts for everything at some point) we did take this card to him.  A girl from church ran up to Stacy on Sunday and asked her to take this to Greyson because she had made it for him.  It was very touching.

Greyson slept almost the whole time we were there.  He did wake up to say hi to one of the NICU nurses who visited him.  She was one of the nurses who had him within the first couple nights of his life.

Greyson got off the turbutiline today so that is another small positive step.  We also met and talked to the Dr. who will be “driving the boat” for the week.  It was nice to talk to him and hear his perspective on where Greyson is and what the plan is for the week.

  1. WOW, 5 months old , it is so hard to imagine in some ways that 5 months has gone by. You have just become so part of our lives and we are so thankful for you. What a cute card , I bet you like the colors. Sleep well, and just keep getting better. We love you.

  2. One of the girls that works in another area of our office stopped by my office yesterday and was looking at all of Greyson’s pictures I have on my door and ask how old he was now and I told her “five months today”. She just is in wonder of him and his amazing parents and all that has happened and told me several times “isn’t he just a little miracle”. I said to her, he is just such a little blessing and that we see God at work is such huge ways…She has left my office with wonder on her face many times and I really think God is working in her life…Praise Him for all the ways He is working….You guys are such a testimony for Him. We are so thankful for Greyson progress and hope the visit with the Doctor was encouraging.
    I love you all..Aunt Sue

  3. This is my first time to visit Greyson on the website, and I’m so happy that I got there for his 5th month of celebration. I am really in awe of Stacy and Bob as the parents and how God is moving in their lives. I know that God’s wonderful love is being poured out upon them through Greyson and the prayers of so many. So glad to hear of his progress with the turbutiline.

  4. Happy 5th month Birthday Greyson!!! We love you and will have a huge party for you once you start feeling better.

    Aunt Tam

  5. WOW! 5 months! Greyson, you are such a little trooper! We love you and can’t wait to see what you are able to do in the months to come!!! You are truly amazing! Just like your mom and dad! Take care of yourselves and let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

  6. Better news just comes each and every day now. I was celebrating all day and telling everyone it was your 5th month birthday and how much I love you. Having a grandchild is the most precious thing God can give us. Of course your Mom and Dad are pretty special, too. I am so looking forward to the day when we can run cars around in the dirt, go fishing and fly a kite or swing and look at the beautiful clouds. Just keep on this road and that day will come soon! Grayson, your Grammie and Papa send our love, hugs and kisses to celebrate your special day.

  7. I knew Greyson was having speech classes, but where did he learn to draw like that! They must have been sneaking in an art teacher behind my back 🙂 My buddy looks great! I’ll be in to see him my next day off. Take care you three!
