Well Greyson has been back on the steroids for about a day now.  I decided to post this video since I never posted one of him crying.  As you can see he was a bit fussy at times today, yet his cry is getting louder!  Greyson’s midnight gas was still bad (75) but his 1pm gas today found his c02 down to 62!  Way to go Greyson!  We were very happy about the numbers as just before the gas results the Dr. on today came by and told us that they were giving him a very conservative dose of steroids and we might have to up the dose in order to get things started in the right direction.  Hopefully tonight’s gas will continue to be good if not better!

So I am thinking Greyson is going to be an actor when he gets older.  I didn’t capture it in this video, but at about the same time he was being extremely dramatic in his cries.  He would let out a cry while he raised one of his hands like he was quoting Shakespear, then he would turn his head a bit and do the same thing with the other hand.  It was so funny!  Stacy finally told me it was probably not nice to stand over him and laugh while he worked so hard to let us know he was not that happy, but I just couldn’t help it, it was really funny!

Tomorrow we will spend the day at the hospital with Greyson, although we gave him his present today.  We bought him an mp3 player (or r2d2 player as my mom likes to call it 😉  ) and a mini speaker.   We loaded the mp3 player with a cd my mom bought Greyson that has his name inserted into all of the songs.  His face was funny when I played it for him because he started looking around like, “Hey I hear a person’s voice but can’t see anyone, yet they have to be right here!”.  I think he will really like hearing the music.   We also learned today that he is liking his toy so much it needed new batteries,  so all things considered he is doing pretty good.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

  1. Hi Bob Stacey and Greyson!

Merry Christmas! We just got home from the Christmas Eve fun. We missed you but our prayers were with you. We made a poster with all the great grandchildren and Greyson you were right in there. Grandpa looked at all the children. Didn’t quite know what to think. Anyway the night was fun.

Greyson Looks great in his PJ’s. The CD you mom got was wonderful. Great Christmas Gift.

Well we love you and Greyson you keep up those good numbers. Love Great Aunt Nana

  2. Well everyone has gone home and the house is quiet. Santa came and brought the kids their pjs. hope Greyson got his. I am so glad Greysons numbers on their way down, and I am praying tonights are even better. I hope Greyson loves his cd as much as I did. I will be there a week from tomorrow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS I LOVE YOU ALL 3 OF YOU

  3. If that is a loud cry, you guys have it easy!! What a sweet little boy! Merry Christmas to all three of you! You might want to tell Greyson that the kids got a Wii from Santa and they can’t wait until he gets well enough to come and play it with them!

  4. Merry Christmas to all three of you. I hope that Greyson is on the road to lower numbers today and that he will soon be on his way home. Greyson is such an inspiration to me. He is quite the fighter. Enjoy your first Christmas together.

  5. Merry Christmas to all 3 of you! Im so glad to see Greyson’s c02 at 62. I’ve been waiting to see a number like that for some time now! I’ll be praying for him to hit the 50s tonight. An actor huh? I was thinking more along the lines of a nurse. Maybe a doctor, but for some reason I’m more biased to the nurse side 🙂

  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS to the Westfalls! I miss Greyson so much, and still read his updates all the time; it sounds like he is doing great! I will be starting at Children’s in Seattle on February 11th – I don’t hope to see you there, maybe only for a healthy check-up. 🙂 Enjoy the holidays!
