Clogged sink

Well today we couldn’t get water to go down our sink and when we looked we realized it was because there was a kid in there!  Actually we just thought it would be fun to give Greyson a bath in the sink.  After all both Stacy and I were bathed in the sink at one point or another so we didn’t want Greyson to miss out.  He was a little unsure at first but before long he was splashing and having a great time.

Tonight Greyson was rolling between Stacy and I while we laid on the floor a little bit.  At one point we got so far apart that while rolling over to Stacy Greyson had himself almost completly turned around.  He’s not completely mobile yet but I’m not sure how he can get much closer.

We were supposed to get a new nurse tonight (so we would be back to one night of nursing a week, wooohoooo!) but unfortunately she had an emergency and will not be able to make it.  We feel like we are not good for night nurses as they always seem to get sick or have family issues when they try to come work for us.  Oh well, who wants to go to bed before 2am anyway?  It’s been so long now I think I’m forgetting what that is like!  Don’t feel to bad for us, some of our friends from the PICU said they haven’t had nursing, day or night, for four weeks.  We are very thankful that we have an amazing daytime nurse (she goes to our church!) who allows us to go to work and feel good knowing Greyson is being cared for by someone we trust completely.

So you can pray for me next week.  I’m going to Tacoma to help out at a March of Dimes event.  It is called fathers night out and will be for all the dad’s who have kids in either the NICU or the PICU.  I’m hoping I can somehow be a source of encouragement to them as someone who has been there before.

  1. I think that is so great you are going. I know just looking at the success stories on the walls at the hospital was such an encouragement but to actually be able to talk to someone would even be better. Be sure and take pictures with you or your lap top so they can see as well how wonderful Greyson is doing.

Greyson I am so glad to see you got your bath in the sink. Your dad is right he had his share of them in the sink. How fun it would be to see you and your mom and dad rolling around on the floor.

I love you all so much

  2. Those sink baths get you up where you can see around and they are just the best. It sure looked like you were having fun. Who knows this might become a habit! We love seeing all that skin!

Thank you Bob for sharing your family’s story with others. You will be an instiration, giving them hope. We will be praying you will be able to reach out and comfort those in need, while also working for such a worthy cause.
