Johnny jumpers and new friends.

Today Greyson got a Johnny Jumper in the mail from his grammie.  Simple little thing but man did it take some work to figure out how to put it together.   Maybe I’m just a little slow these days but for something that just has a couple straps and a couple bars it took me about 10 minutes to get it figured out.  I need to stay more with the high tech toys I guess.

Greyson was OK with the jumper, as with most new things he didn’t show to much emotion either way.  By the end of his time in it though he was starting to get the idea that he could push with his feet and more himself around a little.  This will be a great item to help him build leg strength, something he hasn’t been working on in a long time.

He also got a visit from the newest member of the Plyler family.  Not sure how much they enjoyed each other, but they got along fine.  Poor Jillian (a baby girl who visited Greyson the first week he was home, see past entries for a picture) is about the only girl in this age group amidst a bunch of new boys being born into our church family.

Yesterday Greyson was off the vent for a total of 1 1/2 hours (two sessions 45 minutes each).  Increasing by 15 minute increments goes really fast, today he will be off for two sessions of an hour each!  Tomorrow the plan is to take him to the church 4th of July party for a little while if it is nice enough out, and we are making plans for his first trip to actual church the last Sunday of July 27.  The plan is to introduce him to church and do his baby dedication all on that day.  In case you needed an invitation, if you are reading this you are invited to join us at Bremerton Nazarene on that day to celebrate with us!

Oh and the great news is I was way misinformed about our nursing.  We have one today and one coming on Friday night!  We also found out there is a new nurse that wants to work for us for 40 hours a week after she passes her boards in a couple weeks(pray she passes!).  God is good I tell ya again!

  1. Boy let me tell you that Grammies are the best, a Johnny Jumper. Soon he will be totally enjoying himself and then…… I remember when we had to put Richards away he was going way to high and wild. I was a pleasure while it lasted we had a eye bolt in the kitchen and the living room and he loved it Greyson will too, once he gets the hang of it. I wish we could be in Church with you guys for the dedication, I’m sure there will not be a dry eye in the house. Isn’t God good. We pray for continued good health for Greyson and how wonderful to hear about his time off the vent. Could you guys put Richard Levi on your prayer list. He’s commercial fishing in Alaska this summer, in the Bearing Straight. We miss him but pray that God will be with him and help him to meet his goals. He told me he prayed so hard for this job and felt it was an answer to prayer.
You guys take care of each other and we pray the new nursing candidate will pass her state boards. Love and hugs to you all.

  2. HAPPY 4th OF JULY WESTFALL FAMILY! So good to see that Greyson continues to get better and better everyday. He is amazing. What a cutie too! I will be there for his dedication. I am going to try to get over to meet all of you real soon. Take care and have the best 4th!

  3. Greyson looks so cute in his jumper, and him and his little friend are cute! Except he looks a little confused in the pic. haha. I can’t believe how long Greyson’s vent breaks are! he is just trucking along. What is gonna be the next step? Are they just going to continue the breaks untill it switches to where he has breaks ON the vent? Hope you guys have a good 4th!
