Well, while I’m down here I might as well grab these rings.

Today Greyson tried out his swing and got some tummy time on the floor.  He is definately getting his head strength back and is starting to work on lifting himself again.  He liked the swing alright, I think it will take him a little while to get used to it, that has been his pattern for most new things.

Greyson is still adjusting to being home and has had a lot of secretions as he adjusts to the different temperature, humidity, and new heater.  This means we are suctioning him a lot.  All a part of the transition process I guess.  Right now I am watching him in his room as he sleeps.  We have a video baby monitor so we can see and hear him (which we thought was important since you can’t always “hear” him.  He should be sleeping but he is just looking all around.  He didn’t sleep a lot last night or during the day so we are hoping he will sleep good tonight.

Thank you to everyone who has wished us well with this new phase.  We are beginning to settle in and figure out how this is all going to work.  The amazing thing is you can already see Greyson acting differently.  Being home is going to be great for him, not to mention what it does for mom and dad!

  1. Bob and Stacy, you are doing great with Greyson…I can’t believe all the things you are having to think about, do and adjust too and what grace you are doing it with…..Greyson is such a lucky little boy..I bet it is just wonderful to be in your own home and not spending so much time in the car, back and forth, and then in the hospital….Something about being HOME makes everyone feel better so I am sure Greyson will just settle right in to it after just a few days of transition….Please know our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you…..We love you so……Aunt Sue

  2. I am so glad that you are able to be home and settle into being a family. What a stress relief for you all not to have to make the trip everyday! Thanks for keeping the blog up so we can see you all adjust and get our baby Greyson fix for the day! I know it takes time but we do enjoy it very much! Love you bunches!!

  3. He looks so cute and content. We will be praying for him to adjust to all the things in the air that wasn’t at the hospital. We will also pray for him to get some sleep. I hope you and Stacy are able to sleep as well. It is so nice to see him doing baby things and getting stronger. I can’t wait to see him.

    Take care

  4. Greyson is certainly looking like he is not too worried about anything being different. I know its great for his parents……but really it is amazing for Greyson. He will begin to explore his new surroundings and start letting you know when he wants certain things :). It is just awesome to see him doing so well. Hope you and Stacy were able to get some sleep last night.

    Love Ya,

  5. Home always is a very special place. I know how much more comfortable you must be having him away from all the illnesses at the hospital. This make you more at ease so Greyson will be, also. We are glad to see he is getting back the strength in his little neck. Good thing he is tethered for awhile, or you might find him checking everything out within reach. We can’t begin to tell you how excited and happy we are for you two to finally have your child and have him home. I just received a plaque yesterday that said, “Home is where your story begins”. Isn’t it true. Love to you three and big hugs to Greyson!

  6. Wow, how wonderful to see little Greyson home and on the floor with toys in front of him. We are all going to be amazed at how he adapts. Home is a wonderful place! I’m sure Mom and Dad have settled in and are so glad to be out of the car. We are so tickled that the three of you are home together. Our Prayers and love are with you, daily.

Love Aunt Fran and Uncle Dick

  7. Looks like this little guy is really enjoying doing the things that all babies love to do and that is be on tummy and rock in the swing. I love seeing him reach for his toys, which is using more muscles then when he was in the hospital. Will expressly pray for him to sleep during the night so he can get into a good routine. I think that his time clock is just a little askew and that he is excited by all his new equipment and surroundings. It is amazing the difference that can be seen in his appearance in such a short time. He definitely is bright and alert, and looks very happy. You are a wonderful mom and dad and know that God is going to be there for all Greyson’s growth and changes. WhooHoo!!

  8. CONGRATS!!! i am so happy for you guys that he is finally at home under his own roof!!! yay. i bet you’re enjoying the late night screams huh? Good luck and you better keep giving updates, i’m so excited to know how things turn out for you guys.

  9. Whoa, Li’l Greyie, I never noticed how red/blonde you hair is. That swing really brings it out. And really goes well with your eyes.
