Family resemblance? I’m not sure I see it.

Last night somewhere between 11pm and 2am I was watching TV with headphones on and suddenly I heard a strange noise from Greyson’s crib.  I ripped the headphones off my head and jumped up to his crib to see what was the matter.  He was laying there sleeping soundly.  Non of his equipment was indicating an issue and he looked fine so I sat back in the chair.  A few minutes later, same noise.  This time I had an ear free and heard it a little better.  Could Greyson be gagging on his spit?  I went over and placed him on his side so his drool would be able to flow out of the side of his mouth.  About 5 minutes later I heard it again.  This time I decided to suction Greyson to make sure nothing was getting down his airway.  That was kind of funny because he was sleeping so soundly that he was letting the vent breath for him.  When I unhooked him from the vent suddenly he woke up and looked like, “Hey what’s the big idea?!!”Anyway I suctioned him but got nothing so I got him settled and sat back down.  After about an hour of all of this I heard the noise again.  Suddenly it hit me, the window was open and there was a frog croaking right outside the window.  Ah, good times!

  1. Poor Greyson, all that because of a frog. That is too funny, this is definately one for the book. I love the pictures tonight, how much the two of you do look alike. I think you look even more so in that picture back with Greyson with the football. Well Greyson is going to have to show you the difference between him and a frog, we might be able to find a book and help you out. That certainly gave me a chuckle.

Love ya, – how is Stacy?

  2. Oh Bob, once again you have given us a good chuckle. Hope Stacy is feeling better today. I know she had the late shift the night you wrote this. The picture does look like you but I have to admit I was looking through some of ours and Greyson does look some like his mom. He definately has your eyes Bob. Wishing you all a wonderful day today. Greyson today is your great uncle Dick’s birthday and the day St. Helen’s made history. Love you all so very much.

  3. Hi Westfall family. Glad to hear all is going well. Hope Stacy is feeling better. Greyson, what a handsome little man you are. I do see the resemblance to your dad , but think you look like your mom too. Hope you enjoyed the beautiful sunny days we have had. Continue to get stronger and stronger each day. God has blessed us all by knowing you and your family. Have a wonderful day Westfall’s!

  4. HA HA! oh man what a relief! Whew, I’m glad it wasn’t him. But I was thinking, “What’s Bob going to do if he can’t find what’s causing that noise? He can’t go to sleep until he finds it!” lol, a frog!? Man. So li’l Greyie sounds like a frog when he’s gurggling. (: That is crazy.

  5. AHHHHH!!! Attack of the clones! Run for your life!! It looks like Greyson has more hair then you, even back then haha! Ok I’ll be nice now. It looks like my little buddy is doing great. Hope you three are enjoying the weather!

  6. I enjoyed the story! Just shows what tunnel vision can do.

I enjoyed the cute baby pictures too. I have one of Stacy and I think he’s a very nice combination of you both.

I am glad things seem to be moving right along. I wish all that is good to you, that Stacy is better, that you receive nursing assistance and that Gram and Papa can visit soon. Get well Gram and Stacy.

Have a fun day Greyson. Rest well and be well.

thanks for the laugh! i bet it’s so hard to be so aware of your son you don’t notice that the sound you are wondering about is the frog! gave me a laugh for the day.

    Hope Stacey is feeling better.
