Naptime.

Greyson got new orders today to be on the canula for 8 hours and on the cpap for 8 hours.   Once he is stable on the canula full time he will be extremely close to coming home.  Praise the Lord we are getting closer!

His gas was 67 last night.  Stacy called in tonight while I was at church and found out that Greyson has been really mad all afternoon.  Aparently at one point he was requiring 100 percent oxygen.  This sounds scary (and it is!) but is probably caused by him crying so hard.  When he works himself into a fury he screams and breaths some through his mouth.  This process uses up what little reserve he has quickly and can cause him to need extra until he settles down.  When Stacy called back he was doing better, possibly because they had put him back on the canula which he seemed to like.  Hopefully that is all it was.  It’s hard to know when you are not there, and hard to hear that you child is inconsolable.  Anyway he’s doing fine now and we will be there early in the morning.

  1. From the picture,I think Greysons’ hair is growing. I am glad I will be there in the early morning with you to see Greyson. I’m praying he settles down so his gasses will be okay tonight. I was reading a book about a teacher, that was teaching life skills and the most important life skill is praying. I certainly do agree and thank Him for all He has done in Greysons’ life and all of ours as well.
See you in just a few hours.

  2. He looks so cute on his tummy!. I LOVE to sleep on my tummy it is the best! Hope you have a great day today as Mom will be there to visit. Im pretty sure you will not be giving us a update for today until much later so I will pray that Greyson had a good night. “Talk” of going home is great!!!! We love all of you and are off from work today for Martin Luther King Jr. so we will be checking the blog more often to see if there is any news.

    Love you,
    Tam and the girls

  3. What a darling picture! He looks so comfortable. We get so excited when you mention coming home and will pray that moving to the canula goes smoothly and quickly. Have fun with Grandma Terry today! We are just a little jealous but know our time will be coming soon. Love you all…Mom and Dad

  4. Greyson is such a sweetheart! He looks so comfy and peaceful! We love hearing/reading talk of going home! What a blessing that would be for all three of you! Our prayers will be with this new canula change and that Greyson will do well and cO2’s will remain the same or improve. We are a little jealous of Mom getting to come again as well but are so happy she gets a chance to visit and we will get some extra pictures. 🙂
    We love you bunches!

  5. What a precious picture….My heart is sure anxious to hold Greyson and love on him alittle bit….I know it will be awhile before I can do that but I can still dream….Please give him an extra gentle little squeeze from Aunt Sue and tell him how very much we all love him…You are all amazing and I continue to pray for Greyson to be in his own home loving on his Mommy and Daddy as only a precious babe can. He is just getting cuter by the day. Thank you for sharing so many wonderful heart touching pictures…
I love you all Aunt Sue
