A couple nights ago I looked away while feeding Greyson and the in the next second he had pulled out his feeding tube and was shooting milk all over himself (and the bed!). Crazy kid! Then he started crying because he didn’t like having the milk on his face. I told him to knock off the crying since it was his fault. I’m not sure he understood.
He has been quite the pill the last couple of nights. Once hooked up to the ventilator he likes to pull on the circuit and try to unhook himself. It could be he is just looking at it, but whatever the case it’s not such a good thing since condensation can form in that tube and if he lifts it up that water can go straight down his trach into his lungs. This hasn’t happened, but it worries me a little everytime I see him pull the tubing straight up.
Greyson is starting to take his neurologists advice and seems to be getting more demanding. When he doesn’t like something he tells us about it. Usually with a pathetic cry and puffed out lips.
He is still learning about all his new toys, and will be for awhile. He’s a bit spoiled although certainly not by his parents!!
Aaaa, I have to disagree! I do think mom and dad do a little spoiling of their own. I have seen you in action! However, it is our pleasure to spoil that little boy of yours! He is simply wonderful and we couldn’t imagine a little one more deserving to spoil than him. Tell him we miss him and love him to pieces!!!
I agree with you Debbie, however, I think he deserves to be spoiled a little bit. Every kid should be a little bit. I can’t wait to hear that he has eaten some food by mouth though and that is probably going to be some pressure on him because he won’t like it at first.
I miss you Greyson and love your smile. Take care and have a great day all of you.
Love Grandma Terry
We were having Greyson withdrawls and were so glad to see a post this morning. Sure glad you caught the milk on the face in a photo. We just love seeing you Greyson any and every way possible. Papa and I are also glad you are making your wishes known. Every little and big person needs to be heard. You have such a sweet little personality. So much like your Mom and Dad’s. We can hardly wait to come see you and play with all your new toys. Papa is through with his shingles medicine and as soon as you get that chickenpox shot we will be there. We just couldn’t chance exposing you to anything. Hope your day is filled with new exciting experiences. We love you all. G and P
If ever there was a child that deserves a little spoiling it would be all of these preemies that have had to fight so hard at the beginning of their little lives. Greyson has the cutest smile and his personality is just adorable also. We love being able to spoil him. (Isnt that what Aunts are for?) Glad to hear he is starting to let you know when he wants something. LET THE FUN BEGIN…..next thing you know he will be 13 with a birthday coming up and thinking that HE NEEDS A CELL PHONE!!!!!! UGH!!!! We love you guys so much and had such a awesome time playing with you. Thanks to everyone who has prayed for Greyson……Look at him now! 🙂
Love Aunt Tam
Perhaps he’s being a pill because he misses his cousins and the birthday events. Regardless, a little spoiling never hurts. My mother always said you could spoil them nice, or naughty and I think you have one very good little guy!
Enjoy your weekend and Greyson and lighten up on your mom and dad.
Take care – Judy & Family
