Greyson seemed to enjoy his first birthday experience this evening. The cake was a little sticky but ok. Opening a present was funny because of the sound the ripping paper made. And it was fun to watch the grown-ups play with those toys, Greyson even got in on the action a bit with his new animal train that Susan and Ron got him. Probably best of all was the Mickey Mouse balloon that Grandma Terry thought he should have for celebrating.
As for mom and dad, what a day full of poigniant moments, to see our child enjoying his life and to thank God for giving it to him. We’ve cherished every small pat of his chubby paw, every giggle and coo, and tonight when we lay our sleepy eyed baby into bed, we know that it is purely by an act of God’s grace that we have these moments. We are filled with gratitude and undescribable hope.
Happy Birthday Greyson! Your journey has been one of many miles and it is so good to see the pictures of your smiling face. Enjoy the celebrations! I’ll see you soon.

I fogot to say what a cute cake that was your mom made Greyson. I really liked it and I bet it tasted really good. Next year I’ll bet you eat some of your cake.

Greyson how lucky we feel to have this modern technology. We got to share your first birthday all day with you without even being able to be there. It looks like you had a wonderful day and night. I want to print some of the pictures and can’t decide which so guess I will just have to print them all. We are very sad today that our trip has been delayed but Papa says we will come very soon. oh my goodness!!! Grayson is a year old! HAPPY BIRHTDAY!!! looks like so much fun! wish i could have come! Such cute pictures! we have a Greyson here now and i hope you don’t mind me showing your Grayson off. You guys are such an inspiration to so many families!
