Take me out to the baaaaaaaall game

Greyson learned that famous baseball ballad today in honor of his new outfit that features a baseball mitt (thanks Cathy).  Both Bob and I sang it with him throughout the day and I think he is ready for his solo.  We are trying to think of more fun songs to sing each day so if you have any ideas send them our way.  We got daddy off to the airport and Greyson and I have been sitting here holding hands for quite some time.  Mommy gets to stay over tonight and I am really excited to spend the whole day with my little man.  He was a lot more comfortable today as they raised up his sedation a little bit.  The nurses and doctors are doing an awesome job keeping Greyson comfy as we wait for the big day.

  1. Looks like he is sleeping well. I will be working on the songs. Kindergarten teachers should be a wealth of information. Have a great day with your little man! Love Mom and Dad

  2. Greyson is such a precious boy! We love you all so much. Some of Greyson’s cousins favorite tunes are “Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep little baby….”, “Twinkle, Twinkle little star”, and “Mommy loves you, Mommy loves you”. And I can remember Grammie singing “The wheels on the bus” to Devyn for hours. Caleb is currently hooked on Veggie Tales The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything. Hope these suggestions help spice up your day. Love you!

  3. Hi guys! I always liked “you are my sunshine” and “itsy, bitsy spider.” And my dad always used to sing Rolling Stones songs to me, “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need,” and “wild horses couldn’t drag me away,” or Louis Armstrong’s “what a wonderful world” and “somewhere over the rainbow.” Maybe those aren’t completely appropriate as kids songs, but I have fond memories! Hope you enjoyed your day with Greyson.

  4. Oh so many!! I sing all day long with my kiddos in class. Our favorites are “Put a little love in your heart” and “Slippery Fish” and “Skinnamarinkidink” and “Dinosaur Boogie”. Just let me know what you want and I can send you some words and lyrics! I will ask tomorrow what my kids think Greyson needs to learn. They know all about him and I am sure they would love to help! Thanks Stacy and Greyson for sharing your Daddy with us! He was such a support for us (we hope we supported him as well) and we loved stealing him for the day! 🙂
