No I’m not choking Greyson.\u00a0 He has enough trouble breathing!\u00a0 He was pretty upset so I sat him up and held him with my left hand while I patted him with my right.\u00a0 He woke up and started looking all around for quite awhile.\u00a0 I had to keep my hand like this to ensure he wouldn’t decide to do anything crazy with his head as he looked all around the room.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Today had a bit of a rough start.\u00a0 Nothing particularly with Greyson but simply the stress of the situation.\u00a0 Life can be hard to juggle sometimes and the stress of it all can be hard to cope with.\u00a0 This morning we were really struggling with some issues and prayed together before I (Bob) left for work.\u00a0 We thanked God for blessing us with Greyson, and for the way He has given us the strength for each day.\u00a0 We thanked Him for the amazing way he has provided for us, and asked Him to keep our focus and trust on Him, and Him alone.\u00a0 Well before I could even get to work Stacy called me with some incredible news that related to our previous tension.\u00a0 Once again God has reminded us that He is in control and that we can completely trust Him.<\/p>\n

So what became of all the blood gas results from yesterday?\u00a0 Not a lot.\u00a0 \u00a0 They did another blood gas at midnight and his c02 was back down to 56.\u00a0 The Dr. did change his canula order so he is now on cpap for 8 hours and nasal canula for 4.\u00a0 This seems like a big step backwards but hopefully it will help Greyson in the long run.\u00a0 He has been through so much we just wish we could do something to make it better for him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On a humorous note Greyson got another bath today and decided to pee all over Stacy and the floor before she got him into the water.\u00a0 I was out making a couple calls for work and missed it but was glad that once again it was not me that Greyson went on.\u00a0 The part of the bath I saw made it evident once again that Greyson loves bath time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greyson got another chest x-ray today and it showed his lungs were still quite white and cloudy.\u00a0 This indicates the chronic lung disease as they should be black.\u00a0 We are not sure if it is worse than the last one, but definately not any better.\u00a0 The Dr. has put in a consult request for the neonatal pulmonologist to come and look at Greyson.\u00a0 We knew Greyson would see him when he moved upstairs as he follows all the babies who go home on oxygen, but are not sure what will happen with him seeing Greyson now.\u00a0 We are hoping he has some good news or a good plan to help Greyson with his breathing as we just haven’t heard much encouraging words regarding his chronic lung disease.\u00a0 Hard to believe Greyson is 17 weeks old tonight.\u00a0 He’s come a long way, and we cherish every moment we get to spend with him, which unfortunately is never enough.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
